As
a guide to our services in these areas, we have outlined the FOUR
main areas of interest to clients.
- Will
creation
- Establishing
Enduring Powers of Attorney & Advanced Health Directives
- Estate
Litigation
- Estate
Administration
Wills
Whilst
it is natural to be reluctant to consider these matters, every adult
should have a Will! Without a will the uncertainty and confusion
for your remaining family and friends can add great pressures at
an already difficult time. If you don't have a will, your assets
will be distributed in accordance with inflexible statutory guidelines,
without any input or control from yourself.
Preparation
of a will is often avoided because there is a perception that seeing
a solicitor is expensive. There are a number of excellent services
offered by solicitors at very reasonable costs, preparing a will
is one of those services. In fact Mountfords can prepare a will
for you from as little as $82.50 (inc GST).
Enduring
Powers of Attorney & Advanced Health Directives
How
can a Power of Attorney Document help me?
" When you are well and living normally - you make your own
decisions.
" Upon death your Will takes over.
" It is in the grey area between normal living and death. If
you where to lose capacity for whatever reason i.e. car accident,
mental illness, dementia then your Attorney can make decisions for
you.
An
Attorney should be a person who is mature, sensible and trustworthy,
someone who knows your needs and wants, perhaps your spouse, mature
children or a close friend. If it suits you can appoint 2 or 3 Attorneys.
Again solicitors' fees for this service are very reasonable at around
$44 (Inc GST) for each Enduring Power of Attorney required by you.

act for:

Estate
Administration
When
a loved one passes away it is often necessary to consult a solicitor
to assist with the process of organising and distributing the assets
of the deceased. It may be that a Grant of Probate is required to
allow the release of substantial assets. We can arrange for this
and other requirements.
We will provide as much or as little help as is required and we
will provide up front helpful advice so that the process is smooth
and legal without the problems that seem to plague these matters.
There is noly one successful approach to estate admin istration
and that is a timely, structured and considered approach that ensures
maximum adherence to accountability and protection of the executors.
See us we can help. Ring John Mountford on 07 5474 3911 for an
over the phone discussion to help get the process started
